iPad break test and reliability report

Folks over at SqaureTrade analysed over 50000 iPads that they’ve covered under their Special SquareTrade Care plans and have found that the iPad 2 has a great chance or breaking than the iPad 1.

iPad Malfunctioning of various types were recorded as follow:

  • Power/Battery Issue: 37%
  • Speaker: 9%
  • Battery: 14%
  • Buttons: 8% 
  • Touchscreen: 22%
